Summary: Disney/20th Century Studios’ mystery thriller, ‘A Haunting in Venice’ has so far grossed $19.05 million domestically and $42.74 million globally, which is a quite poor debut for a small to medium-budgeted film. The production budget for ‘A Haunting in Venice’ is $60 million, and including an extra $50 million for marketing expenses, anything less than $150 million is a sure-shot box office failure.

Despite receiving good reviews from critics, it’s almost impossible for the film to achieve $150 million globally at the box office, as there is a total absence of support in terms of buzz and audience, including overseas as well. Considering the numbers, ‘A Haunting in Venice’ is heading for another box office failure for Disney and its 20th Century Studios.
