Nearly ten years after the release of ‘Avatar’, its sequel ‘Avatar 2’, the official title ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, is finally all set to release in the theaters, and it will be released on December 16, 2022, in the USA[1].

Produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau under the production banners of TSG Entertainment and Lightstorm Entertainment, and 20th Century Studios will distribute it.
After Theatrical Release, Is Avatar 2 on Netflix?
No, James Cameron’s sci-fi epic ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ will never be streaming on Netflix in the USA after its theatrical release due to the production and streaming rights. As an official production of Disney’s 20th Century Studios, ‘Avatar 2’ is already set to be officially streaming on Disney Plus and Hulu after 60 days of its theatrical release, and due to the production of Disney, there are no 0.01% chances of ‘Avatar’s sequel will be streaming on Netflix anytime and not only in the USA but also all over the world.
However, as an old streaming partner and old streaming rights deal, there is a possibility of streaming ‘Avatar 2’ on HBO Max but not on Netflix because there is no deal between Netflix and 20th Century Studios. So if you are a Netflix user, then ‘Avatar 2’ will never be available on your favorite platform, so it would be better if you enjoy it in theaters, which will be a better experience.
