The ‘DC League of Super-Pets’, Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated animated superhero drama film of 2022, is on its way to release. It will be released in the USA on 29 July 2022. Currently, the makers are working on post-production of the film. According to reports, the ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ is a special animation film for Warner Bros. Pictures because the makers spent millions on making the film based on DC Superheros pets with a high-profile star cast.
DC League of Super-Pets Budget Revealed
According to Forbes, the production budget for Warner Bros. Pictures’ animation comedy superhero drama film ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ is $90 million, and it is currently one of the most expensive film by Warner Animation Group with ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ ($150 million). Not only this, but ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ is the third-biggest investment of Warner Bros. Pictures in 2022, after ‘Secrets of Dumbledore’ ($200 million) and ‘The Batman’ ($185 million).
‘DC League of Super-Pets’ is being produced under the banners of DC Entertainment, Warner Animation Group, and Seven Bucks Productions and is produced by Patricia Hicks, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Jared Stern. According to reports, after 45 days of theatrical release, the ‘DC League of Super-Pets’ will be available on HBO Max.
The major part of the budget is money spent on star cast salaries and animations for the film. ‘The DC League of Super-Pets’ comes with a big star cast, in which Dwayne Johnson, John Krasinski, and Kevin Hart are the main stars. According to reports, Dwayne Johnson is also a co-producer of the film, but the reality is Dwayne Johnson has been paid a profit share for the film, and due to the profit share deal Dwayne Johnson was added to the producers’ list by the official makers.
The film is based on DC Comics ‘Legion of Super-Pets’, directed by Jared Stern, who also penned the screenplay with John Whittington, and stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Ben Schwartz, and Keanu Reeves.
