’80 for Brady’, Paramount’s sports comedy, has been released in the USA. And by the way, there weren’t too many expectations for the film before it was released because the word of mouth of Kyle Marvin’s direction was not so great, and second, it was competing with Universal’s horror thriller ‘Knock at the Cabin’. But still, it has impressed experts and critics to a good extent with its performance at the box office. But the question is whether it could please the production as well.

As reported by sources, Paramount’s sports comedy starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field, ’80 for Brady’, released in the USA on 3 February 2022 over 3900 theatres alongside Universal’s ‘Knock at the Cabin’, collecting $4.62 million on its opening day and $12.70 million on its opening weekend from over North America[1]— A over-expected opening than experts’ expectations, but also not too excellent compared to its cost and immense screening. Overall, it has so far grossed $39.33 million domestically and $40.27 million globally.

According to reports, ’80 for Brady’s production cost is $28 million, and the estimated break-even point is at $45-50 million after P&A and other expenses. Compared to its cost, ’80 for Brady’s opening performance is decent, not outstanding, but it can still be considered successful for the time being because of its low budget and overeas market. But there is no doubt that the coming weeks are going to be very important for this film— If not from the point of view of success, but definitely from the point of view of impactful profit because at least $50 million has to be done.
