But the question is on the box office performance that’s not enough for its production as compared to its buzz. Despite, ‘The Menu’ having received positive reviews from critics and audiences, it has performed average at the box office, which is more important from a production point of view.

As per reports, Searchlight Pictures’ comedy thriller ‘The Menu’ released in the USA on November 18, 2022, in more than 3100 theaters, has collected $3.6 million on its first day (including $1 million from pre-night previews) and $9 million on its opening weekend at the domestic box office. The total gross of ‘The Menu’ is currently at $38.50 million domestically and $41.12 million overseas, for a worldwide total of $79.62 million; looks good but that’s not too impressive because of its cost[1].
‘The Menu’ comes with a price tag of $30 million before P&A, and after marketing, it carries a break-even point of $75 million. Although the beginning of the film was not good, but due to good word of mouth, the film succeeded in taking hold at the box office thanks to which it is able to recover the cost. Considering the performance of ‘The Menu’ on the table, it’s an above-average film; no loss and no big profit. Besides the industry estimates, the critics and production hopes remain high due to good word of mouth, and the makers expecting good from digital and offline release in profit terms.


Talking about the critical response, ‘The Menu’ received a 7.2/10* IMDb rating based on 328k votes, and on Rotten Tomatoes, it scored 88/100% based on 315 reviews.
