  1. They did this movie and it’s cast a disservice by casting Nicholas Cage. They should know by now that Mr. Cage is box office poison.

  2. This is NOT a box office flop! $24 million worldwide against a $30 million budget so far–that’s pretty good for a comedy. It may yet break even.

    1. Hopefully the dvd release will help the bump up. At least get there money back. Sadly lionsgate did not make money on it thus far. From a business perspective, there are no margins in the black.

      1. You don’t know that. This isn’t a flop, and I’m sure it will sell many DVDs and at least break even.

That’s just the production budget. Add another 30 mill PR budget and it’s run is over they may break even 10 years from now

    1. Shut up, you know-it-all. That makes no sense at all and isn’t accurate. I’m right, you’re wrong.

  4. Who cares, its too early to say flop or hit. these are terms used by bean counters. anyway who listens to accountants? why argue with the critics and the fans? (both rate it an average of 87/100 on Rotten Tomatoes). Go see it. My instincts told me to see ”Pig” in 2021 and was I awestruck with the depth and lack of flashiness in Nick’s performance. I always go to my late hero, Rogerebbert’s site for a 2nd opinion. I liked this summary, there: ‘Even amidst all this meta-commentary on contemporary filmmaking, the mechanics of Hollywood, and the emotional heft of fandom, Cage the man always knows what is expected of Cage the myth. In “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” he finds the perfect synthesis of the two, and in turn delivers one of the most complex, yet crowd-pleasing performances of his career’.
