After the long gap and the long appeal from the fans, finally, Chris Hemsworth starring in the fourth film of Marvel’s ‘Thor’ film franchise, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ all set to break the records on ticket window, and the official theatrical release date of the film is July 8, 2022, in the USA[1].

Recently Marvel Studios released the trailer for ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’, and everyone liked the lovely trailer, but apart from Natalie, not anything special in the trailer. Despite Love and Thunder’s trailer being average, in reality, Marvel Studios and Walt Disney spent more on ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ compared to ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.

According to IndieWire, Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios spent $250 million to produce the film, excluding prints and advertising costs. With a production budget of $250 million, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ is currently the most expensive film in the ‘Thor’ film franchise, leaving behind the $180 million budgeted ‘Thor: Ragnarok’. Not only franchise, but ‘Thor 4’ is currently most expensive release of 2022.

‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ produced under the production banners of Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Dinsey Studios. According to reports, after some months of theatrical release, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ will be streaming on Disney+.

Talking about the main parts of the budget, that’s Chris Hemsworth’s $20 million salaries, $80-100 million film sets in Australia, and these two costs are around $100 million+, which is the 60% of the film’s total budget, while the other star cast and crew members salary, the post-production cost is around $50-$80 million.

But the important thing is that ‘Thor’s last released, $180 million budgeted ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ was grossed $854 million worldwide, due to the success of ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and MCU’s recently released ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, makers expect a $800 million-$1 billion box office from ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’. But $1 billion box office has proven to be a impossible with the early opening estimation.

The superhero drama ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ are directed by Taika Waititi, who also the co-writer of the film with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Jeff Goldblum.
